Dear Reader,
I was up early this morning rushing around getting myself and food ready for a Baby Brunch/Shower I was helping give at someone else's home 35 minutes away from Hatchechubbee....I was supposed to be there, food in hand, by 9:30 (Brunch began at 10:30). Anyway, I was so focused on other things that I never noticed this in our bathtub.......
until later this afternoon.
I thought .... What in the world ....and then I remembered ...
This is the master bath right next to our bedroom ..... the faucet has been dripping for awhile now and gradually getting worse. Last night was particularly bad .... a steady drip, drip, drip, drip, drip .... well, you get the picture ...Yep ...Chinese water torture:)
Anyway, Hubby rigged this up ..... and, lo and behold, it worked! I think the water slides down the plate into the washcloth at the base which keeps it from splattering and making noise? That's probably not accurate and Hubby is not here to verify. I really don't care HOW it works ....I'm just glad it did!
Anyone care to guess which decade produced this dinner plate that helped save my sanity last night?
It's from our informal wedding china. I can't tell you how old it is or you would know the decade:) ....So just look at the design .....
Have a lovely day!

That is a very clever fix-around, and thoughtful since he never woke you in the process :)
You plate is very pretty. I love the leaf patterns in the center.
Oh, he didn't have to wake me...I was already awake from the drips:( ... awake and complaining...only I was ONLY complaining while he was DOING something about it. Maybe one day we will fix it, and we won't need the plate & washcloth:) ....but then what would I have to complain about?
That IS a clever fix! Isn't it funny how we hear so much noise continuously - & probably filter out/never even really notice a lot of it....but when all is still, even a "drip" grasps our full attention..so much so that we can't even ignore it if we try! Kudos to your hubby/hero ... he's resourceful - I can tell :)
Hmmm.... the plate...not idea really. Ummm - I'm gonna guess.
I'm sittin' here at the kitchen counter this morning havin' coffee w/ my husband so I showed him the plate & .....we're guessing it was made in the 70's??
Yep! The seventies, it is!
Oh...and MyStory....Spit! Spot! How was "Mary"?
She was practically perfect - in a most delightful way!
Oh, was going to guess the 70's as well :)
It's quite cheery and timely with spring on its way in.
